Totnes Good Food Market
The Totnes Good Food Market is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 10am to 3pm. Now in it’s second year, the market is the biggest monthly producers & farmers market in the Westcountry.
Regularly attracting over 50 traders each month, the Totnes Good Food Sunday market has become the biggest fine food and drink market in Devon and is rapidly becoming the largest in the South West.
GOLD AWARD FOR TOTNES SUNDAY FOOD MARKET - The Totnes Good Food Sunday Market, which captures that elusive “Totnesian vibe”, has just struck gold winning the Taste of the West Hospitality and Retail Gold Award 2014 for best food market in Devon.
Launched in June 2010 with just over twenty producers, the market has grown month by month both in reputation and popularity. It attracts food lovers from all over the region, with three-quarters of its traders coming from within a 30 mile radius of Totnes. The market has also been award-nominated and warranted mentions in local and national newspapers and magazines.

Dartmouth Food Festival 2014
24th - 26th October
Best of the South West - The Dartmouth Food Festival is an annual festival celebrating all things food and wine. Now in it's 12th year, the festival has developed into a major food event or, as The Daily Telegraph put it (February 2011), a ‘heady mix of celebrity chefs, parties, food markets, tasting shacks and demonstrations’. What gives us extra stand out is the fact that we’re a free festival. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along and take part without being charged an entry fee.
Our real aim is to showcase the best that the South West has to offer – from Ashridge Cider and Cornish Seasalt through to the Devon Scone Company and South Devon Chilli Farm. We also want to shout about our award winning restaurants (The Seahorse, The Elephant in Torquay and the Millbrook Inn, South Pool to name but a few) and their amazing chefs. Without being too biased, we probably have the most award winning chefs per square foot than anywhere else in the country.
The heart of the Dartmouth Food Festival will be the Royal Avenue Gardens where you will see a number of marquees providing a rolling series of cooking demonstrations, farmers' markets, wine tastings and much more. Cooking shacks will give visitors a chance to meet local chefs and producers and try recipes that will be designed to stimulate your taste buds.
Other Food Festival events will be staged around the town and in the surrounding area. Participating restaurants will host individual events ranging from specially devised tasting menus to food and wine matching. There's also the Eat my Words festival showcasing the best of cookery writing and discussion with a wide selection of culinary authors.
The Dartmouth Food Festival is non-profit making so everything you see and experience has been put together by a voluntary team. Not that we’re banging our own drum but we just want you to know that anything you spend over the 3 days either supports local trade or boosts our fundraising efforts. If you’d like to get involved, don’t be shy – just contact us and we’ll be in touch.
