Our efficient friendly staff and rustic, comfortable surroundings ensure a visit to Alf’s is a revitalising and indulgent experience. The café features an open-plan kitchen and outside seating area, complete with wall-mounted heaters for cooler days. Inside we have an authentic French parlour stove c.1880.
Breakfasts and lunches are ordered at our coffee counter, which features an original Italian Gaggia lever arm coffee machine.
At weekends you can enjoy your eats to the sound of local musicians playing jazz, blues and flamenco.
At other times you can listen to Radio Paradise playing in the background. Music is an important part of the Alf’s experience.
Children of all ages are welcome morning and evening, and menu items can be tailored for their taste buds. Puzzles and colouring books are provided to help them feel at home.
Customers are welcome to log on to the Internet via our wi-fi broadband hotspot. A laptop is available to use or bring your own.
We can also provide information on the local area for tourists visiting Dartmouth and the beautiful South Hams.
Our accommodation above the café offers a range of modern facilities, with a traditional twist. The rooms are private, but in a great location from which to enjoy all that Dartmouth and the River Dart have to offer.
